Here is something that I never heard of, WEDDING INSURANCE.
You can now insure your wedding.
Here is a website http://www.wedsafe.com/
What do you think? |

I've heard of this before.
Its rather expensive considering the probability of its paying off.
I would say its tantamount to buying a lottery ticket.
The only area that this concept would work is in those Hurricane-prone areas.....but the company that underwrites these policies probably has a "act of god" clause that won't pay off in a natural disaster like a fire, flood, tornado, or hurricane, or earthquake. |

Hmmm.... the odds of it every paying off ARE really low, especially once you read what is and isn't covered.
But... if you're spending $20,000 - $40,000 on your wedding, what's a few hundred more to protect against the unexpected?

It's like flight insurance. A VERY profitable product.
Next they're gonna come out with marriage insurance. Oh, wait. That already exists. It's called a Pre-Nup. |

| There's another "scam" insurance too that you can get for your house. It "covers" for repairs things like your AC/Heating system, plumbing, electrical, and most major appliances. But, if you look through and see all the caveats for reasons they won't pay, you'll soon see it's for the main reasons these systems fail in the first place. The things it actually covers are almost never likely to happen. |

My mother got suckered by a fraudulent Home Buyers policy.
Within one month of buying her Palm Desert condo, the Dishwasher went ker-plop.
She is now considering a lawsuit against the realtor for selling the fraudulent policy. Good thing the Realtor has insurance....LOL. |
