Some DJs don't like long request lists... but I do!

As long as the B&G understand that I'll only be using their list as a guide, and that I'll be playing whatever I feel will keep the dancefloor going, not just what they put on their list -- it always seems to work out great.

:yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah:

By the way... welcome to DJGold, FrankieTheDJ ! 8)

no

punk rock is largely Non-Danceable Headbanger Garbage.

There are a few "exceptions" (like "I Wanna Be Sedated" by the Ramones)......but I'd pass on this gig!

Really depends on the songs.

I did a punk-rock type wedding two years ago on Halloween. Everyone was in costume. As people were showing up in costune, the staff suggested I play Monster Mash at some point. Not only did I not need that stupid piece of advice, I never played the song.

The play list had about 30 songs and included several songs I never heard of. That's fine because they also gave me a few CD-Rs a couple weeks beforehand so I could familiarize myself with them.

I played almost exclusively songs on their list. The party was one of the best I had done in a long time. As I explained to the bride afterwards, she game me great songs. I just put them in the right order.
