Yesterday, I got a call from a bride who's getting married in Sacramento, next April.
Their ORIGINAL plan was to get married at the groom's home in (you guessed it) N'awlins, but obviously that is now changed b/c the groom's family home and the reception site are all submerged under H20.
Fortunately in our area of California the brides pay for the entire wedding (even the music, which is supposed to be groom's responsibility), so there is no effect on their budget despite the tragedy in groom's family. |

| Did she have to change the date, or just the location? |

Date is the same (April 2006)......location was moved to a place that is a wee bit "drier". |

just booked a couple for a wedding in November. Last year at this time they had EVERYTHING paid for as it pertains to their wedding, originally planned last November. $15,000 later they now reside in Dallas and have to do it all again. The things you do for love!!
BTW... they have asked for a few "new orleans" classics to be played. |

| In late Sept. 2001, I was booked for a wedding at the Marriott World Financial Hotel in downtown Manhattan. Amazingly, the couple was able to change the location last minute to a nice midtown hotel, the Righa Royale, without having to change the date or time! |
