HI,

I recently received a news letter in my office mail box and in it was an add for the MOST POWERFUL and PROVEN SYSTEM Ever for DJ Entertainers to book more GIGS.

Intrigued I sent for the reading material and CD , It sounds and looks great, Matter of fact TO GOOD TO BE TRUE kind of thing.

It is a sizable investment ( Just under $900.00 ) and though I am tempted, I am trying to do some research.

Is any one out there familiar with the offer and can I get some opinions about it?

The offer is from Chicago renowned DJ, Mark Imperial.

I would appreciate any email response, My name is Tom and my email is Tcat114@aol.com

Thank you for your help.

Hey Tcat,

I'm not sure I would spend that much for a correspondence course. Most everything you need to be successful is here on this board. If you really pay attention, you can bet you'll find answers to most of your questions. Beware of "too good to be true" anything. Most times it is.

I did a Google search for Mark Imperial dj and didn't really find anything of interest about him personally, and I didn't find anything regarding what you mentioned.

Dave

Thank you for your replies, I don't mean to be rude but you seem to miss the point.

I have taken several courses and have purchased many informative CD,s over the years, I have great confidence in my ability to entertain the masses but I also know my weaknesses and poking around a chat board cannot provide all the answers, Though I agree it is a valuable forum.

There are places in every facet of life where one can go to be educated in a specific field, The reason for my initial query was to see if anyone one on this board has had any experience with the specific program I mentioned, Witch has a very long name/title and is offered by DJ Mark Imperial.

Please don't get me wrong, over the years I have learned and received much from DJ GOLD and similar boards but again, I do have a thirst for more sales knowledge, I know I have improved in my sales ability greatly but there is and always will be more to be learned.

So again, If anyone has info about the Mark Imperial System, Please respond, Thank you much, Tom Catucci

Well... thanks for the compliments everyone!
______
I agree Tcat -- sometimes the education is worth paying for!
(As evidenced by this discussion: MarBecca Method )

But, I've never heard of this guy. Sorry we couldn't help. :(

I googled this -------> Mark Imperial System
then I googled just his name ------>Mark Imperial

I found alot ,,but nothing on selling by this man..
If he is charging alot of a selling system that works great ,,well then I don't understand why he doesn't come up

I love to read books on selling and after reading 25 or so . I found out 1 thing. next time I will not buy the book I will just go to my library.
most of the good books some how read the same

I look at it like this,,, if you want to spend the money and you think it is good and it will work for you,, Do it

Most of what you will learn is just common sense..

Please let us know how it was..

let me suggest two things, i hope at least one can help.

1. Randy Bartlet tours the country giving seminars on such information

2. as i saw on the DJJN (>?) video , there is a new book out by Stacey Zemon that concentrates on the business/marketing aspect of the biz

hope it helps

Thank you both for your reply, I am very familiar with Mark and Becky Ferrell and They were among the first people that educated me and though I did not incorporate all of what mark had to reach, It was well worth the $$$ and helped me get a few notches further than I would have without his seminar.

I did some research on Mark Imperial, and checked out his web site. I just have to try to find if he is for real or just another Carlton Sheets.

He offeres a 100 % money back g. and I can pay in three installments, if that is any consolation. His guarantee is well documented in his proposal and if half of what he offers is true it could be well worth it, on the other hand he could take the money and run and he would not be unique.

Well I'll ponder this a bit longer and see what I come up with, Thanks for your help, TC

Thank you for that I know them both, Randy's 1% Vol 1 and 2 are great, I've had them for more than a year , Great stuff, well worth the $$ Stacey I've read some but this is even more intense and as I mentioned if it is real at all it is good stuff.

Thanks, TC

PS. Randy was good enough to use my testemonial on the 1% # 2 cover.

He had an ad in the Midwest DJ News. We also sent in for it. From what I read (and I read the whole thing) he is more of a MARKETING guy than a DJ guy.

The program sounds good to me...the price is way too high...I fear

Personally, if it were me, I would be investing my $900.00 more wisely than with someone like this 'marketing guy' who I've never heard of. Attend the MAPDJ convention in November or the Mobile Beat convention in Vegas in February. That would be a much better start.

Thank you for your responce,

I did see that add in the DJ News and sent for the packet, read the booklet, listened to the CD all sounds great and a great gaurantee, and havine been attending many, many DJ show , conferences, cruises and such, This is , if for real, A great offer even at 3 X the cost.

I just can't be sure if it is legit, Any information that can be had, Is only as good as the giver and I am tring to get a true "Heads UP" on the giver Mark Imperial.

Here is the web address for his DJ Biz.

You see, If he is legit and not a fold your tent sales operation, I should be able to pay it in three install mewnts on my Amex, there for after the first 30 days if I choose to send it back, I should be able to have Amex stand with me. No?

Worst case I would loose the first $299. Thanks, TC

It sounds to me like you have already made up your mind and your going to get it.

It also sounds to me like you want to hear all of us say (wow that is a get CD-DVD) .....
You dont need us convincing you to get it,as you have already thought of getting it and nothing we say will stop you.

So just order it and let us know how it is. I will be at MB this year ,
any one that is any one will have a booth there. I trush that to be true..
For me I sell 8 out os 10 the 2 are price hunting. nothing I say or do -can I sell them as that have already made up there mind ,that they will NOT spend over 500$ and I am alot more then that.
those are also the people I dont want to work for .

I last note::::: when I make up my mind and I really want to get it. I just do it. 900$ will not brake me so I just go for it..

A gentleman who I have received a TON of marketing ideas from, as well as countless other entertainment professionals, is Scott Faver. Take into account the fact he shares his ideas and passion with all of us sure hasn't cost anyone $900.00.

Mark Imperial's web site may be flashy and appealing, but I still wouldn't spend $900.00. Why hasn't he appeared at any of the conventions? Why hasn't he contributed at any of the forums? Does he only care about padding his bank account?

T-Cat, thank you for presenting all of us here with a new avenue for receiving marketing info. Perhaps, if you conduct further research, you may find out what makes this guy tick. I just have seen too many people that take info that's been out there for a while and just reword and repackage the same ideas. Even the thought of losing $299.00 doesn't appeal to me.

Per Brian Graham's (DJBusyB) recommendation, I signed up for Randall Munson's newsletter (FREE)... www.creativelyspeaking.com
