Hey folks, I don't want to spread rumors or innuendo.....BUT the folks at RPM seem to have their days numbered:

Capitol EMI has been withholding key music shipments.

First they cut off the C/W tunes. This was about 6-7 months ago.

When this happened, I didn't freak out--- after all, 90% of my B/G's say "no C/W" and Capitol's CW artists are mostly a bunch of oakies and twangies and unknowns. (Case in point: NOBODY has ever requested "Free & Easy" by Dierks Bentley, and I have NEVER had a request for anything by him).

However, the company is NOW in deep doo-doo:

"I Kissed A Girl" by Katy Perry (CAP) is rocketing up the charts. Its the first pop song on the Capitol label to make the Top Ten (potentially).

My daughter was able to d/l the song from I-tunes and paid $1, then she burned me an extra CD copy (probably illegal).

I told RPM that they have a "Very short time frame" to correct the problem.

I've kept silent for 6 months, but NOW feel its time to warn everybody.

NOTE: If I dump RPM, I'm possibly gonna join a local "Hit Disc" pool, a group of DJs who have been with TM Century as long as I've been with RPM. One of their members quit (for financial reasons) and I've been invited to take over his account!
