The Groom's Mom teaches ballroom dancing. I need some suggestions, please. She doesn't want the usual slow songs. So far, I have thought of:
• Moondance - Van Morrison
• That's Amore - Dean Martin
• I Get A Kick Out Of You - Frank Sinatra
•I Just Called To Say I Love You - Stevie Wonder
•Just The Way You Are - Billy Joel
• Loves Me Like A Rock - Paul Simon
• Stand By Me - Ben E. King
• Summer Wind - Frank Sinatra
• The Way You Look Tonight – Frank Sinatra

Mom wants to swing a bit! Thanks! :P

A really good fast pace swing song is "Sing, Sing, Sing". If you don't remember that one, here's a school band playing it...

Once you hear it, you'll remember what it is. Several years ago, it was used in a Chips Ahoy cookie commercial.
I play the one by "Flight 180". They did one special CD (Lineup) release of all ska/swing music (they normally aren't a swing band). There are several good fast pace swing style songs on that disk. You can listen to samples here... http://www.amazon.com/Lineup-Flight-180/dp/B00000K4FU

There are a lot of different kinds of swing. Jitterbug, East Coast, West Coast, Lindy, Country, Push Pull, Balboa and Swing 8 off the top of my head.

The important thing to clarify is between East Coast, West Coast, and Country. One of my favorite songs is 'I Love Being Here With You.' It's decent for East Coast and West Coast, but not much for country.

Balboa
Lindy
West Coast Swing

and for giggles, some more west coast swing to more contemporary music. here
