I read this on one of the boards and decided to give it a try...
As I always do, I stop and chat for a few minutes with the bartender before guests arrive and they almost always have a tip jar. So I ask, "Hey, how about if I bring you a couple of glow sticks to put into your tip jar... it'll make it easier for people to find it (wink wink). They will of course say "sure!". After doing this a couple of times, I can report --- it works! It does indeed get peoples attention and they are indeed more inclined to drop some cash into the jar. Last week, the bartender thanked me and said "I need to get myself some of those glow sticks". I gave him a handful... along with a handfull of my business cards!
Now... I'm still waiting for that first referral to come from a bartender! :drinking: |

| Brilliant! Sometimes it's the simple things that make all the difference. |

| Outstanding! It always helps to be on good terms with venue staff and especially someone whose work benefits yours! |
