| you have a great site here ! been getting all my gear together for the last 6 months, all new stuff , im getting ready to use a wireless toshiba laptop for my tunes, the question is we have 4 other pcs running on dsl, so we have a lot of cabels running around ! would a wireless router do the job, do we need any extra hardware for the pcs , also what type of a sound card would you suggest? any help would be apperciated :roll: |

| For the computer network stuff, is this a permanent install thing, or mobile? If permanent install, like desktops, then hard wired is always better than wireless. Get your wires properly installed with network jacks on the walls. 100 base T, or even 1,000 Base T if your hardware supports it, will be much faster than wireless. |

| If you want to do wireless or a combination of wireless and wired a couple of the open source models of the linksys WRT54G routers(you won't find them a Walmart) and some handy little firmware upgrades from DD-WRT and you can light up an acre or two and or connect multiple buildings. |
