I thought I might pass this on to everyone here. If you're looking for a good deal, this will make it even better.

Mackie SRM450 and 350's have become the gold standard for us mobile DJ's and for the first time Mackie is offering a rebate. I already have too many speakers but some of you here might be upgrading soon, so this can save you some money. Just download the pdf file, here is the link.

----------------------------------------
Mackie will be offering a $100 Mail-In Rebate on a pair of SRM450 Active Loudspeakers and a $50 Mail-In Rebate on a pair of SRM350 Active Loudspeakers. Purchase a pair of SRM450s or SRM350s from an authorized Mackie dealer between May 1, 2007 and June 15, 2007 to qualify. Visit the rebate page to download a form.

sounds to me like they're introducing a new generation of them and they're trying to get them off the shelves. Just a hunch though

Or they're experiencing slow sales, possibly due to the many products that offer similar feature sets at competing prices. The JBL Eons were the first, then the Mackies arrived and took away a lot of the Eon marketshare. But they were still the only two players on the block for a time. Now there are MANY competitors in the "lightweight powered speaker" segment.

As a Mackie dealer I can tell you Mackie does this every year for a month or so. With our already low pricing this rebate can bring your cost for a SRM 450 to under $ 600.00 a speaker delivered to your door*

*Lower 48 states only.
