I'm looking into adding a Laser to our light show -- I've read some of the threads on them, but am still very much in need of education.
Can some of you give me some pointers on what to look for?
Thanks |

Hello Pete,
First off, any laser above 4.9mW requires a license to operate and a variance from the town it is being used in.
Most 4.9mW lasers require near total darkness and a decent amount of smoke, fog or haze to be seen well.
For a mobile DJ I'd suggest the Chauvet Scorpion series which uses Fat Beam technology to get around the 4.9mW issue. The Scorpions are 10mW but use optics to enlarge the beam. This means not all of the lasers energy can enter a persons eye at one time which is why no license or variance is needed.
The larger beam is also easier to see even with some ambient light.
Feel free to call me if you have more questions, we have all of there models in stock at discounted prices.
