I don't know... it seems pretty "live" to me!

Oh, do you mean when do we start charging money like a "real" site? 8)

I guess what I mean is:

When will this site be found in the Search Engines like WeDJ, Gigmasters, etc.

Don't put the cart before the horse.......

You'll be able to charge $$$ when the site can be found by prospects!

DJ Gold is already on many of the search engines. It does pretty well in placement too. Just do a search for a DJ in your area on one of the big search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc.) and see what comes up. I bet you won't have to look down the list very far before you see DJ Gold. I get web hits through the DJ Gold site all the time, in fact, I just got one today. I have not booked anything from a DJ Gold lead...yet, but I'm confident that I will. I think it's a great DJ search engine and it will eventually take off.

I could be wrong, but I would think that WeDJ and Gigmasters, etc are actually competitors of CJ. This site has been "live" since day one... it's just been free!

You don't hear it much CJ, but thanks for these sites. We do appreciate it.

You're welcome, Jack!

_____________

Actually, I understand what you're saying djmc: You've mentioned before that for your area, DJGold isn't very high at the moment. (It was before, remember?)

Until I'm spending money on specialized placement services, DJGold will simply do well in most markets, and maybe not so well in others based on whatever the search engines think is most relevant.

Charging for services and better listings actually goes hand-in-hand for several reasons, including better placement due to specialized listings and PPC-type ads -- which requires $$$.

We'll get there -- it's coming! 8)

Hooray!!!

When you go "live"....consider doing keywords like "Napa Valley", "Lake Tahoe", "Wine Country", and "Bay Area" in addition to the cities and state's names.

That will greatly help DJ Gold in its launch: currently very few sites are using these Geographical names and they are commonly used by Brides in their searches for Destination Weddings.

That's a great idea. In fact, I'm working on a section of the signup that will allow you to add keywords of your own, other than what I might automatically generate.
