| When I viewed it, the dark haired guy was cut-off from his jaw down, and needs to be fixed. I liked the couple that was talking about the consultation, though. Seems like a good ratio of testimonial to sales pitch. |

Overall, it's good. Just a couple nit-picks. Yes, I realize that some of these nit-picks may require you to re-shoot your narration.
1 - Get rid of the scrolling text on that page. Too distracting when watching the video.
2 - Use a different type of file format - one that allows the user grab the slider to back-up the video.
3 - No offense, but you're not the most photogenic person in the world. Smile more. A LOT more. And do something about the lock of hair over your left eye. Same thing about the hair for some of your still shots that appear elsewhere on your site. The hair is fine for the gig clips and everyday life, but for a special presentation like this, use a little spray to keep it where it belongs.
4 - The shirt & tie are OK, but what's with the red jacket? In the couple gig clips of you, you're wearing a tux. In all of the still shots you're in a tux. I think you should wear the same for your naration. Or at least a black jacket with the shirt & tie. And then use a lighter background.
5 - It's a common problem that seems to be accentuated in a recording. You're whistling your "S"es. |

Unless you've already made changes according to TB's input, I don't find any of it distracting at all. I find the background motion to purvey a high energy service (which is what I'm assuming you were looking for) while you in the foreground, and the testimonials, maintained my attention.
One note on the critical side though; your narration in the beginning appeared to be broken with a few slight hesitations. Having produced training videos in the past, I tend to notice these things; especially since I’ve experienced similar hesitations in my own presentations. If this is the final edit, then it shouldn’t be a concern. However, if you intend to do some more shooting, this is the area I would work on. |

Kevin, your opening statements sound a little rushed to me. You calm down after that, so if I were you I'd redo that beginning shot. "Preliminary" got slurred. Your initial delivery at your closing statement is rushed as well.
It really, really looks sharp, Kevin. I like the client testimonials. Good job! |

Tho only thing is - the red jacket was chosen to stand out on a black background and the reason I did not wear a Tux was because I did not want to talk about my service as if I was at a gig during the dinner hour - maybe it might have worked but I see your point:The hair is like that all the time - the bits I drag down on purpose as I have a high forhead so it was not winded - it was actually gelled and sprayed that way!
Thanks anyway! |

Kevin -
Glad you didn't take offense to my comments. I thought you might especially after the way we butted heads a couple months ago.
I see what you mean about your forehead and the hair.
And the not wearing a tux thing is fine. But I stand by my prior statement: That red jacket has got to go. Wear a shirt & tie with a black jacket. Just use some other color background, such as an off-white or pale yellow or light blue. |

| Yep, only parts I'd change are the hurried speech at the very first and end. I like the accent (I'm from Texas, so to me its different, but I like it). I also really liked the comment about the camera man at the end. Nice touch. |

Looks good for the most part Kevin...puts a human spin on your website which I admittedly need to do.
I like the sliding in of the testimonials...Other than some lighting issues (and yes...SMILE a bit more) and you shoudl wesar a tux when presenting...
It is very well done.
It's great to see you have changed your attitude. It always helps when both sides change. |

Yes I realized what a jerk I had been but not intentionally though - I had to make adjustments from living in the UK for so long and its not the same here - my intentions were always good but I somehow flew off the handle and used inappropriate words and actions in my past postings and comments - but also my perception of the USA disc jockeys was all wrong too - and I have now clicked and should be good to go.....I suppose after realizing I was really an American after receiving my official card it changed things too....thanks for the comments about the video.....I disagree with the tux idea though but see your point...thanks! |

I think the red jacket is fine too. The people doing the testimonial aren't in their wedding attire, it's like after the reception and people are back to their non-formal clothing, so I think wearing a tux just for the narration part would be out of place. Now, if you were at an actual event, then yes, a tux would be appropriate.
Ah, so you did come from the UK. I thought that's what your accent was, but your profile said NY, so I wasn't sure. So, were you born there, or did you move there then move back here? |

OK! OK! I'll get off the tux argument and start pushing for a BLACK jacket, with a light background. And smile more.
And about that testimonial couple's clothes. I see no problem. I think the more the bride & groom enjoy themselves, the more likely they are to change clothes before the end of the event. But that may be debatable too... |

Ah, so you did come from the UK. I thought that's what your accent was, but your profile said NY, so I wasn't sure. So, were you born there, or did you move there then move back here? Yes I came from the UK in 2000 after a very emotional event in my life which I will share with you all as I see it fitting to let you know about me to give you a better understanding of me and also get to know me too.
I was born in 1957 in Coventry England and adopted by an English couple who could not have children.
I always regarded my adoptive parents as Mum and Dad and still do.
after many years of travelling the world working as a DJ for Bachhus and Julianna's, working in London at Stringfellows, worked in Norway for 3 years(I have a dauhgter in Norway 20 yrs old and she has a daughter too so I am a grandfather), spent time in most Countrys in the world as a DJ for the Hilton Hotel chain and many others.
After a marriage in Scotland failed in the early ninetys that left me to bring up a 9 month old, 18 month old and a 10 year old stepson(now a member of the British Climbing team) I had to stop my career and bring up the children.
It gave me time to think and also about me too.
I contacted the services after wondering if I could trace my birth mother.
to cut it short....
I found her living in USA after 43 years...in 1999 I came over to visit and meet her.
I came back in 2000 with my 2 children leaving my then 10 yr old stepson in Scotland who was 18 then, and remained here...and now am a permanant resident, married and have built my business from 2 suitcases with the help of some people along the way.
So there is my story.... |

We had a problem witht he background being black..the client wore a black shirt so some camera trickery had to be implented to put some colred dots in the background.
Also the guy with the curly hair Davod Goldsmith is a famous speaker - I did his son's Bar Mitzvah.http://www.speaking.com/speakers/davidgoldsmith.htmlhttp://www.internationalspeakers.com/speakers/ISBB-5535L7/David_Goldsmith/ |

I am new to this board but I will express my opinions on the video. I was a marketing person for a large beer company. I currently own my own DJ business and doing very well here in NJ. Ok here goes...
1. The video is to long (2miutes)... less is more!! Many may not get to see it because it will take to long to download... Get your point across within the first 30 seconds!
2. The Red jacket MUST go!
3. You seem rushed in talking and slur some words
4. The testimonial is good but that other guy is a professional speaker whom I believe I have seen at events. Don't believe he was a real client.
5. What is with the rings on every finger?? Must go!
6, Sorry, but you should not be the one on the video, let actual clients speak for you (idea)!
7. goofy ending.. |

wow that is very harsh
I do not know where your background comes from but all the DJs Nationally and here seem to give it a thumbs up:
Too long to download?...its streaming video and downloads while playing.
The other guy as you call him is an ex client - I did his sons Bar Mitzvah...let me give you a word of advice -- never presume anything or assume anything - I am appalled that you would assume he is not an ex client of mine.
The rings on the finger ok..see your point but a minor detail.
The red jacket was worn so as to stand out on a black background..what do you suggest in your wisdom I wear?
And it is not too long..all PWV videos are 2 min long and some three..there is never enough time for commercials like this to get information across.
And what do you do with 30 seconds...sound like all those commercials on TV...crap...!!! |
