|
|
I just got an e-mail from a client....whose party is in SEVEN days....
asking for three Karaoke requests....only one of which I have (the "Shoop Shoop" song).
I told her (very nicely) that its TOO LATE because I cannot guarantee songs unless they request them at least 30 days before an event.
I gave her the web site for Sound Choice (www.soundchoice.com) and said they are welcome to "BYOCD".....LOL |

I use the same deadline, one month.
However, even when they do ask for something in the last week, I tend to make a best effort to get what I can off the list. |

these were the 2 I didn't have:
I'm Beginning To See The Light, as performed by Bobby Darin
and
You Make Me Feel So Young, as performed by Frank Sinatra
Sorry, I've got Mack The Knife, Beyond The Sea, by Bobby Darin
I've got 8 Sinatra songs.
All in my Sound Choice Foundation 1 and Foundation 2
I'm not going to add those 2 songs.
I've never had them requested before, not even the recorded versions, at ANY of my events in nearly TWO decades!
Its what I call an "unreasonable request" and violates the provision of my contract:
"All requests must be either a MAJOR HIT or something everyone will want to dance to" |

I'm all CD and CD+G.
I use an RSQ-333 "triple tray" unit (Mfg. by JVC corp)
with an Aiwa DVD player as backup (plays CD+G) |

| I see. I did find a website where you can download individual songs, but I don't remember if you can burn CD+G from them, or whether they're just mp3+G. |
