For those of you who have the scrolling LED nametags, thought I'd post a site that helped me out.

About 2 or 3 years ago, I purchased a scrolling nametag from a regional DJ. The tag has been the topic of discussion at every event I do because people are asking me "where did you get that?"

Well, in November I was all set to do a wedding and realized I had misplaced the magnetic fastener. I went through the evening with a small piece of tape affixed to the tag so people could at least read it.

Obviously, I was looking for a better solution. I bought a couple small magnets at Office Max but they weren't strong enough nor designed to hold the tag. Then, I did a Google search last week and came across this. At only $1.50 apiece, I ordered 3 fasteners just in case I lose one again.

Just thought I'd pass that along. :)

Dave -

I'm not sure how big the ones you're talking about are, but what John is talking about is a name tag, about the size of a regular name tag. I.E. Roughly the size of a business card.

He is most definately NOT talking about a typical LED 'sign'.

Teddy Bear is correct - it's actually just a tad smaller and you wear it on a tux jacket.

I usually program in the B&G's names and their wedding date along with congratulations. It's all about them not me.

Sorry, wasn't the best picture but you get the point. Usually is a big conversation piece at receptions with people stopping me. There are days when I think it's a cheesy idea and other days I think it's cool.

Later in the evening at a wedding (once the bridal party's shoes and jackets come off) -- anything goes! That's when we get to start playing more of the "fun" music, and things like this LED nametag would go over big-time.

These LED nametags used to be quite expensive, but I understand that the price has come down on them quite significantly.

BTW, I did find magnets online. Had to do some searching though. The kind you buy in a store won't work.

The tags are easily found online and on eBay. I bought mine a few years back from lednametags.com (Carl Ondraka) but he only has supplies in stock, not the tags. Too hard to compete with cheap overseas sellers.
