Laptop mixing, options to look into

Postby Robert » Wed Nov 20, 2013 4:31 pm

What are good programs to look at: free and for purchase that allows smooth mixing on a laptop? Looking for simple and reliable program, don't care about a bunch of flange, scratch, drop out type stuff.

Two methods I'm looking into for using at mostly ceremonies hookup to K10 or DXR12 speakers.

1. use the laptop to do the mixing

2. use the laptop to cue the song on each tray (1 and 2) and the Live DJ presses play and mixes with a DJ mixer.

Lastly, if going to a mixer, do I really need a device in between for better sound?
