Picking the right lights for a great setting

Postby Robert » Wed Jan 30, 2013 11:39 am

In my pursuit to buy new lights I'm seeking recommendations for the following:

Dance floor filler (color wash type, flash to the beat, changes several colors, one unit fills the typical 20 x 20 floor with strong pure color)

Dance floor special effects light (something interesting, no polka dots, cool patterns or interesting movement)

Up-lights (can easily change to practically any color or shade of, will throw nicely at least 20 feet and retain brightness, battery operated and plug in suggestions sought)

Wall wash (more than an uplight look, will wash a much wider space evenly when going up a wall)

Scanner (smooth scan, nice patterns, strong beam to throw at least 75 feet)

Spotlight (staple or follow, bright end with adjustable circle to throw at least 30 feet)

Table spotlighting (flowers, plates, wedding cake)

Monogram projection

Other (anything else to consider)

This is a great board with lots of nice, mature acting professional djs here. Unlike some other boards. Wish more would take part here. Maybe the word needs to be spread around to go more visiting here.
