Gay Wedding dos and don'ts

Postby LYoung116 » Sun Jul 01, 2012 9:53 am

Hi, all:
Are there any standard dos and don't in a gay wedding reception? I'm DJing my first one in November. I know it's probably up to the individual couple, but I don't want to offend or upset anyone. I've done lesbian dances before, but not a reception. I'm not doing ceremony music. Any ideas and input would be appreciated, thanks!

The "Gay Wedding" is a pretty general label... It pretty much applies to any type of couple other than real man/woman. You'll want to talk to the couple and ask them the same question you asked us. Some couples will be open for just about anything - others may have some very specific requirements - there's no telling what they'll say.

It went very well, except I started to say Bridal Party... I quickly said for Wedding party and parents to join in. They were the Honorary Couple (I thought it should be Honored Couple, but that is what they wanted).
