Any easy to build web sites and hosting for newbies

Postby NIAGPREM » Wed Nov 28, 2007 1:49 pm

I need to get up and running with a website, but I really don't know where to start. Many of the template based web creation sites are difficult to understand excactly what is included with the prices. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have no web site experience.

thanks, Dean

Have your guests asking, "Is it over already?" instead of, "Is it over yet?" With Multiple Choice Disc Jockey

I came upon a great service two years ago. I-Power. They provide me with my own domain name, low cost web hosting, and they provide e-mail service with my own domain name. I can also accept pay pal & credit card payments...it's simply a low cost turn key solution for getting your business a web site.

Here's the best part....it only cost pennies a day!

They currently are offering the service for only $3.95 per month

My site was built with their easy to use software and they host the site and my email for me.

If you want to build your own website you need to dedicate yourself to learning a little about HTML. You don't need to know much but you need to understand URLs, links, and how to FTP.

The best simple, and powerful, wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) editor is SiteSpinner by Virtual Mechanics. The program is $49.

Once you have your site designed you must host it. I have had great success with 1 and 1. You can get your domain name and hosting for $3.99 a month. They have the first 3 months free right now. Go to my website and scroll to the bottom. You will find a link that will take you to 1 and 1. If you sign up from that link I get a credit. I think it's a free month or something like that.

I built my site with SiteSpinner and host it at 1 and 1.

Or you can do what we are always telling people. HIRE A PROFESSIONAL.

If you don't know how to do something, or have a hard time understanding something (like me) there is nothing wrong with hiring someone to do it for you.

We don't want people who know nothing about music or weddings grabbing an iPod and doing it themselves, so why should we be doing that?

Hire someone that knows what they are doing and can build you a professional looking site. Tricks of the trade takes years to learn.
