Yep... I'm looking at getting more info on these programs too!

I'm currrently using Gigbuilder from WeDJ, but I'd like to see if people are happier with DJIntelligence/DJWebmin.

CJ and David:

I use DJWebmin and DJ Intelligence. The two interface very well. The technical support on both is excellent.

I use djwebmin & DJI. they are great. I have gigbuilder too but I am not a technical person and you need to setup all of your particulars before using it. So as a inept computer user I would go with dj webmin & DJI.
If you have the time, patience and knowledge, Gigbuilder is VERY customisable(is that a word?) so you really have to decide on those factors as well. just my two cents.

CJ:

DJ Webmin produces invoices, contracts, and receipts. It is rather versitile (sp?). Plus you can get alll kinds of administrative reports out of it and even make your own forms. I created my own cancellation agreement using DJ Webmin.

Is there some kind of package deal for having both DJWebmin and DJIntelligence?

_____________

I already have Gigbuilder, but when I tried to create an invoice, I couldn't find a way to do it... perhaps I looked in the wrong place? :?

Nope. But they really aren't all that expensive.

CJ I know that DJI is 99$/year. DJ Webmin maybe slightly higher per year but it is well worth the investment IMHO

A company I work with uses it. I really like that I can schedule time off on the website and check on upcoming shows and print out the questionnaires the clients fill out.

Another alternative that is like a combination of both is called DJ Event Planner.

http://www.djeventplanner.com

very reasonably price, great customer service, great features and getting better all the time!!!! Plus it's a single app from a single company on a single server. I have used it for over 3yrs now and I have never had an outage or any data loss!

Why mess with 2 when you all need is in one!

I did use Webmin for several years. Was very happy. Also, they do have a multi-system version for you multi-ops.

Now, using an older version of ACT. This better fit my current needs. It enables a synchronization of dates etc between me and other DJ's I network with. This allows us all to know where we're supposed to be in case of an emergency. Also, I have developed some templates for letters, agreements, emails etc.

john, i see the cost of ACT is $199.00 , is that a one time fee?
one of the drawbacks to most of these is the yearly renewal.

At the reccomendation of a friend, I went with Act 6.0. Unfortunately, they will no longer support this version soon. But, it was the last version that had email synchronization. Any version after 6 requires hosting the info on a server and users logging in to that server.
