Myspace?

Postby srothkin » Fri Sep 15, 2006 7:38 am

1) Is anyone using myspace to promote their business?

2) Is this something I should be doing?

3) Any pitfalls to watch out for?

4) Any suggestions?

Thanks,

I've been using myspace for a while and I've actually booked several gigs from clients finding me there.
I think if you are going to use myspace just make your page fun and stay away from any politics.
Have other DJ's join your friends list and post lots of comments with your website on each comment. Great for Yahoo and Google searching.
Keep it professional and you won't have any issues with younger visitors to your page on myspace.

Check out mine it's: http://www.myspace.com/djkahwaty
Best of luck and let me know how you are doing with it.

It's not just for children. There are many businesses with myspace profiles as well as adults just networking.

At first, due to all the negativity associated with MySpace on the national news, was very hesitant to join. But, have found a couple old friends, networked with some people, and have some current friends and various DJ's on my friends list.
