It doesn'y matter how "good" of a speaker you have. You'll lose quality through ANY passive crossover network. Electronicly splitting the signal and running to seperate amps (stereo or not) will result in a "cleaner sound"
I've done live (concert) sound for over 30 years and you'll NEVER catch me running passive crossovers on FOH. (maybe passive monitors-when used)
