I have several Shure PGX and UT series wireless systems with the handheld SM58 which sound really good. I'm in the market for 3 new systems and plan to eventually replace the others.

Can't decided between Line 6 or Shure SLX series. I want better range and less potential dropout worries, thus whats the better choice?

Audio Technica 3000 series. I've used it up to 500' without issue.

I thought about te AT too, but have read reviews that weren't so good.

Have you compared it side by side to the SLX or Live 6?

The reviews you may have read might have been for the 200 or 700 series which are AT's bottom line mics.

Consider the following:

A-T Mics Chosen for the 14th Year at Rock Hall Induction Ceremony

Grammy® Awards Show Relies on Audio-Technica Microphones for 14th Year

A-T Provides Microphone Solutions for 2010 CMA Awards

A-T chosen for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction

Daughtry Rocks on Tour With A-T Mics

Audio-Technica at Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics Games

I could list more but you get the idea....
